What to Expect?
Your first visit will be approximately one hour in length and you will be asked about your current health concerns. Your naturopath will review your personal and family history and help you set specific goals for your treatment. You may be required to obtain bloodwork or other lab assessments to evaluate your baseline health status. A urinalysis and complaint oriented physical exam will also be a part of your initial assessment. Very rarely is much treatment prescribed on during the initial visit as it is mostly investigative. During your next visit, you will be provided with a complete treatment plan. All treatments are individualized and require a thorough evaluation to develop the best healing plan for you.

Dr. Meera's Practice is Focused around 4 Areas of Health & Wellness.
Good health begins in the gut as 80% of your immune system is housed there. If the integrity of your gastrointestinal lining is compromised, a host of symptoms can ensue, including: gas, bloating, diarrhea, acid reflux, nausea, constipation and/or vomiting.
Symptoms are not only limited to digestive ones. Systemic inflammatory conditions can also ensue, such as: arthritis, psoriasis, inflammatory bowel disease, eczema and depression and anxiety.
Dr. Meera's intensive initial intake takes a strong focus on your gastrointestinal health and most treatment plans will be constructed around restoring the health and integrity of the gastrointestinal tract.
Dr. Meera is a firm believer in food sensitivity testing as the crucial key to discovering which exact foods are inflammatory to your body in particular.
Once the testing is complete, Dr. Meera creates a personalized plan to restore gastrointestinal health and discusses food substitutes and healthy eating strategies. She also works closely with a wholistic nutritionist, should patients need further and more specific dietary support and existence.
Naturopathic physicians have a number of modalities in their “medical arsenals”, in order to help people achieve an overall sense of well-being. One such modality is called parenteral therapy (or more commonly called intravenous therapy) and is currently offered at Davisville Active Therapy, in the forms of a modified Myer’s Cocktail, glutathione, and high dose Vitamin C.
IV therapy involves the intravenous delivery of nutrients to the body at doses much higher than what one could tolerate orally. This safe and extremely effective method of nutrient delivery works by allowing nutrients to bypass the digestive tract and enter the bloodstream immediately without having to be broken down, digested or absorbed.
Naturopathic Doctors in the province of Ontario must be certified in IVIT and have successfully completed and passed the Ontario Prescribing and Therapeutics course and exam in order to be able to safely administer IV therapy in a clinical setting.
Dr. Meera has treated many women who are concerned about slowing the aging process and minimizing its physical appearance using natural and less invasive methods. Dr. Meera uses potent antioxidants, diet and lifestyle modifications and, if indicated, IV therapy to increase the production of collagen, quench free radicals and restore glow to lack lustre skin.
